Micro-celebrity involves viewing friends or followers as a fan base; acknowledging popularity as a goal; managing the fan base using a variety of affiliative techniques; and constructing an image of self that can be easily consumed by others.(  (Marwick and Boyd 2011)

Following You-tubers on social media has it perks . These people will promote what they are doing and fellow you tubers are doing. This gives there fans a way to see what they are doing whether it is promoting there new book. One of my favorite person to see what he is saying is Humble the Poet who is a Canadian Youtube star. He is normally seen with Lily Singh.  He uses his Twitter to promote happiness and self happiness and he is very active on his page he loves to retweet what he says. Or he will retweet what other people has said and will tag him in the quote. 

Being able to use his social media platforms he uses all his social media together to keep tabs of everything. He is known for his quotes so he uses that to inspire people to become better. 

With using his social media he can also promote his book and also his friends that have also become writes just to show thanks for purchasing.
